Well I am working on my Mitsubishi VS50803 and trying to get the convergence set correct. My question is does the convergence grid have all lines straight and perpendicular? I can get the red, blue, and green lines to the matched / on top of each other to make the white line but if I do so the lines are not straight and the spacing is not even. I have some “bowing” on the right and all line turn to the top at the right and left side of the screen. Any help would be appreciated

In theory the convergence grid lines should be straight, square, and most of the time evenly spaced. But you may spend hours and never get it absolutely perfect, which is ok. Idealy you want to do as much as possible with the geometry items like skew, bow, size, position, etc. Next do like a 9 point convergence, then end with the full multipoint convergence.
I found already some great information her but now it got me into trouble. I got into the service menu because I had intermittent convergence problems. I re-soldered the convergence IC’s and then I made the mistake of using the service menu and I rest the convergence. Now I have the picture in all 3 colors offset to the right . I was able to correct it to some degree but the picture is bowing on the top and bottom and in the top right hand corner I have some distortion. I don’t know how to attach a picture so I hope I describe the problem correct. Is some has the original settings for that TV or if someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it
