Hi all,

I am hoping someone here can give me some advice on what is wrong with my TV. The picture has gotten rather dark compared to what it used to be. Everywhere I check about this problem, it states it is a bad bulb. I have tried 3 different bulbs and verified they were all fine on my Sammy HLN5065 (which uses the same bulb). I would guess it is about 30-40% darker than my 50". Please help me from pulling out the last little bit of my hair :)

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Over three/four years old... clean the lens and mirror, especially if you smoke indoors. Inspect the "port" that the lamp shines into for film or dust.

Uniform darkness, or some portions dark, some light?
Menu and guide affected?
All inputs?
Same SOURCE components as compared with the other Tv?

It is definately uniform across the whole screen. All inputs appear to be affected and the sources on both TV's are the same (PS3, HD Cable Box, etc.) Is there anything special to use to clean the mirrors and lens?
