Hello all,

I'm a first time buyer on getting a projector. I'm looking to spend around 2-2.5k for one and i've been looking at all of them and I just can't decide. I was going to purchase the Epson PowerLite Pro Cinema 1080 UB because it came bundled with a mount and extra lamp but now it is discontinued.

What do you guys suggest for a projector that will project a 10 foot diagonal image that will work in a living room and will sit about 12-13 feet back? The living room receives only direct sunlight in the morning since i have a window facing the east.

I thank you for all suggestions.

Sincerely,
Joe

The 1080UB is still available. It will throw a 120" (10') image from 12 to 13 feet. You might want a screen with a little bit of gain so that you do not have to run the 1080UB in normal mode the whole time.

Where is it available? I also was considering the 1080UB, but it appears to no longer be available, at least not from those that are forum sponsors. It has been replaced by pre-orders for the 6500UB. Will the 1080 UB "reappear" after the 6500UB is out, or is the 1080UB gone for good?

Take a look at the New 1080p PJs just coming out from Sanyo, Mitsubishi, and Epson. Also Read the reviews at www.projectorreviews.com and consider the Panasonic AE3000u.

The 1080UB is done.
