I own a KF-50WE610 since Dec 2003. I had the lamp go put on us about an year after that and was replaced by the warranty folks. The TV is now not udner warranty.
About 5-6 months ago we started noticing that the picture is getting dimmer. We have brightness cranked up to almost full to see anything useful.
I looked up the threads on this forum and went ahead to check the lamp hours. This is where I need help. See attached picture. The 16119 number does not seem to be in the same line as the "lamp time", but I cannot find anything on this output that could be lamp hours. Plus the fact that the number got incremented to 16120 while I was looking up some more makes me feel that I really need to replace the darn lamp ! :)

Does anyone disagree ? My only concern is , I hope I am reading the right screen, before I shell out ~ $200 bucks on a lamp.

thanks!

So you're saying that you've gone about 4 years since your last lamp replacement?

IF that number is indeed the total hours used on that lamp, I'd say that lamp lasted a pretty darn long time and you got your moneys worth out of it. Even if it isn't, 4 years on a lamp is a pretty decent amount of use any way you look at it.

To me, it does look like you need a new lamp. I'd suggest getting it from DLP Lamps (http://dlplamps.com/).com. Their service has been top-notch in my experience and each order comes with instructions on how to replace the DLP Lamp.

Hope this helps! Good luck!
