I need to get either a inwall or infloor subwoofer for my living room HT system. I already know that these typically do not perform as well as standard subwoofer, but the inwall/infloor subs are my only options. I like the Velodyne SC-600 IW (inwall sub) and it appears to share the same drivers as the MicroVee subwoofer. The only down side is it goes only down to 37Hz. Velodyne offers a SC-600 IF/IC (infloor/inceiling sub) that will go down to 25Hz, which is what I would consider adequate bass. My only concern with either type of subwoofer is squeek and vibrations when they are on. Is one type of subwoofer more prone to squeeks/vibration noise? Does anyone have experience with these types of subwoofers or has another brand/model to recommend?
