I have the 22 with the phillips 3575 and there is no problem recording. The feed, as per wojo's link is from the 22 via svidio or component to the recorder. You have a feed from the recorder to the tv and from the 22 to the tv. The key is, after you hook everything up, pull the plug on everything and plug back in the tv, recorder and 22 in that order to allow the 22 to do some handshaking, otherwise you may get, as i did, false copy protection flags. I transferred HD sunrise earth to dvd and the quality is fantastic for what is really a SD recording. Good luck. Church AV Guy 12-10-08, 01:27 PM . . . Using an S-Video connection, good quality cables, and XP record quality can give truely spectacular results for a home burned SD disk. The Planet Earth series turned out so good it was hard to belive I had made them myself. anon812 12-11-08, 01:58 PM I have the 22 with the phillips 3575 and there is no problem recording. Coz my SA 8300HD disables all other output sources when HDMI is active. does anyone else have this problem? beekeeper 12-12-08, 08:16 AM Wht kind of Cable DVR r u using? Are you connecting through HDMI or component out? Coz my SA 8300HD disables all other output sources when HDMI is active. does anyone else have this problem? My output from my directv hr22 is svideo (the 3575 does not have component in). I have HDMI out from the 22 as well as the 3575 to the tv. I also have component out from the 3575 to the tv. (Plus composite inputs to tv from VCR.) Life is good with a harmony 880, otherwise I would be a basket case. meb577 12-23-08, 10:20 AM Diretv receivers are by far the most Techy friendly box I have ever seen. I have several DVRs and a non-DVR rec. and they are all connected to HDTVs using component cables (HDMI acts the same, but had to use the one I have for the Blu-ray player) and DVD recorders via S-video and they all record fine and the TVs get full HD all of the time. The Sicentific Altanta DVR I had for 3 days from Brighthouse would let you record on S-video/composite out of a recorded program while watching live TV or another recorded program which Directv DVRs will not do. Very cool feature but it was "always" letterboxed 4x3 to the S-video/composite output when the program was HD. I went back to Directv. Also the Directv receivers can use different remote codes which will let you have several of the same or different models in the same room without conflicts. The Birghthouse nuckleheads decided that all of thier recievers and DVRs no matter what manufaturer made them will use the same "single" remote code. Very dumb IMHO. I have had Directv equipment since 1993 and the only complaint has been that the HD boxes do not pass the TVGOS info to my Panasonic DMR-EH75. I can control the Directv box with the EH75 though. I know how to copy vhs to the hard drive, dvd's to the harddrive of the panasonic, what do I do to copy a show from the DTV DVR to the Panasonic. I hope these instr. are accurate for you EH75: 1. Select the Panny input ("Source") you connected to from the D*TV box. 2. Select the TV input you connected the Panny to (so you can see what you're recording). 3. Play a little of the DVR show to make sure it's going thru (being "seen" by) the Panny. 4. Start the DVR show playing from start. 5. On the Panny, wait to see the DVR show title or some other item in the show where you want to start the EH75 recording, then press REC. 6. Press REC several more times until the total REC time equals the DVR show time... it should add time in 30-min. increments. This way you can walk away and the Panny will stop recording at the end of the time you set. Mullyman 02-25-09, 07:04 AM Thanks to all for the help, I was able to copy a program to my Panasonic DVR. |
