My panny has had this issue since new, and I was too dumb not to return it immediately: On digital tv broadcasts, whenever the screen goes black with very little white (like during the closing producers credit of a CSI show) and the background music fades out, the audio becomes garbled - sort of a motor-boat sound. I always notice it at the end of most tv shows, but also occasionally when there's low-volume music and a mostly black screen. I've wasted hours with customer service trying to explain this, but they've never heard of this before. There have been no firmware upgrades for this model, either. I think it's a vocoder issue, but has anyone else ever heard of this phenomena? Audio under any other condtion is just fine.

The Flat Panel Plasma section would be the best place to ask for help. Good luck with your problem.
