Hi all, new guy here to the forum. I currently have SD Direct TV at my cabin using 1 standard DVR receiver in the living room then splitting the signal after the box to the bed room. The coax runs back into the wall where I spread it through out various rooms. I want to upgrade to HD in the living room and move the current SD box into the bedroom (realizing I'll need to pay the 4.99 to keep it turned on) Can this be done utilizing 1 run of coax from the dish to the house then splitting (using an HD splitter vs. normal cable splitter) the signal before the new HD box thereby sending the split signal to the SD box in the bedroom? I'm confused about the need (or not) of running multiple coax from the dish. Hopefully I asked this so it can be understood. Current run of coax is only RG59 from dish to house but remaining coax IN house is RG6. I'm pretty sure I should uprade the outside run with at least RG6, or is there something better?
Thanks in advance.

You need a separate run from the dish to each receiver (and 2 runs from the dish to a DVR if you want to use both tuners.) You'll also need a new dish to receiver HD programming if you don't have a 5 LNB dish yet.
