Hey folks, not sure if this is the right place, but...
I subscribe to TW right now, and honestly, not happy with the service. The DVR is iffy, SDV seems to cause problems, and the quality is good on some channels, poor on others. Obviously depends on the source.
After phone tag and just continual random channel errors, I called and scheduled a DirecTv installation. I had them years ago pre-HD and it was great.
My concern "today" is the HD quality. I asked the D* rep if there's a return policy if I'm not happy with the service, but nope. They suggested I go to best buy and evaluate it before I sign my name. So I did -- but didn't really answer any questions. Was hard to measure b/c the source quality is unknown, and it was an LCD that I'm not used to. Some channels weren't that great.
Anyway, what do you all think about the HD quality? You happy with it? Most people in this forum have a pretty critical eye (and ear), so I'd appreciate the feedback. Most of the problems I've heard about seem to be before the latest bird went up -- all the HD Lite talk, etc.
