On my plasma TV, for the last few weeks whenever I watch a channel on HD, there's a line of the bottom of the video/tv show displaying at the top of the screen, just under the black bar. It wasn't like this before, and this only happens on all the HD channels, not the SD ones. I'm guessing this is a problem with the feed with Shaw Cable(Canadian version of Comcast), not my television. I'm using the Shaw HDPVR box. Is there any way of fixing this, or do i have to phone a Shaw person to come over? Thanks.

Have you tried changing the HD resolution you are sending to the TV?

I just tried changing it from 1080i to 720p and it didn't make a difference, the line is still there.

Then I would assume that the problem is with the TV's interface and not the STB.
If you are using a DVI or HDMI interface can you try component instead?

I actually already am using component, because we rely on closed captions we can't use HDMI for cable at least. I might just end up phoning sometime this week, thanks for your help anyway though.

Do you have a DVI cable you can try?
Do you have a DVD player you can try over component?
