So, I've got my setup as such: PS2-->A/V Switcher-->Reciever with optical cables. Now, the reciever detects the optical signal correctly, the display shows 'Opt. / PLII / 2.0 Channel' when I switch on the PS2.
The problem is, when the PS2 game changes scenes or I'm guessing loads new audio tracks for a new scene, the reciever seems to blank out and re-detect the signal causing a small 1-2 second delay. The cable to the reciever from the switcher is 6 ft., the cable from the PS2 is 3 ft.
So, this isn't a sporadic cutting in/out at random times, or even an A'V synch. Once sound is loaded, and the connection made it plays great. Any ideas?
