Hi,
I have a Denon DVM-715 DVD changer that is several years old (planning on getting BR at some point soon). Anyway for about a year or so, whenever I rent a new DVD from Blockbuster, some of them have problems playing on my DVM-715. About halfway thru the movie, I get periodic skips and jumps....sometimes they will go away...sometimes they wont. Eventually I will throw up my hands and will be forced to use my Xbox360 as a DVD player instead.
The last 2 movies to do this were Wanted, and Batman: Dark Knight.
Yet the new X-Files movie played fine...and all of my older DVD's play fine.
I want to conclude that this is the result of some sort of new/updated copy protection that has made my Denon DVD player incompatible with 100% of new DVD's.
Am I correct? Anyone else have this issue with the DVM 715? I checked Denons website and of course they dont have a firmware update for this model.
Thanks,
Mike
