I have the Pan.AEU300 projector, with an Oppo upconverting dvd player.
My question is,if I can pick up a Wal Mart special Magnovox Blu-Ray player and view blu ray movies in 720p will there be a much better picture over the oppo?
Waiting for the Magnovox to go on sale again!
Thanks for any input you may have!

Do you have an HDTV stream hooked up to your projector? If so I would expect a similar, if not slightly better improvement vs. DVD by going blu.
I had an AE300 and thought HDTV looked noticeably better than DVD. Not as big of an improvement as when I upgraded to a 720p projector mind you, but still noticeable.
I am currently still using the pt-l300u version (same as yours). Dvd's looked pretty good in it's day using dvi through my Bravo D1 player but I was quite surprised at the PQ when I hooked it up to my HDTV. 720p broadcasts show up as 750p and 1080i shows HDTV60 (whatever that means). I would guess running Blu-ray to your projector would be a big improvement. Not all Blu-ray players are created equal though. I am looking at the Panny BD35. It's has recieved some great reviews for around $250.
I just wanted to add that my pj is not hdcp compliant so I have to use component cable to my hdtv receiver. I would imagine it would be the same for a new bd player too.
