they just recently finished the basement and they did so with a wired 13' long by 11' wide HT room, am i going to really regret how small that room is later? it's connected to another 15x12 room, but that would be where i put my pool table / bar

currently i'm running a 50" kuro but plan to go to a 60"

The room size will work fine - just be sure you don't buy a television expecting to achieve Theater in the Home. Step up from TV to true Theater in the Home with a projector and screen.

We have a nice 56inch HD TV in our room for watching television type stuff but across our 13 ft. width we have a shelf mounted HD projector and across the way a nice big screen - throw distance is 11 1/2 ft. which gives us a nice near 120 inch diagonal. No offense intended and just our opinion based or hard experience but NO television on the consumer market today delivers Theater Experience which we simply define as when the lights dim and the screen illuminates everyone in the room goes: "WOW, this is just like being at the movies!!!"

You CAN DO IT across a 13ft room and, take my word, you will be SO GLAD you chose "real" Theater in the Home - I challenge anyone that thinks they have Home Theater with a consumer television of any kind to watch a few movies on a projection screen and then try to say their television is just as good. The proof is in the eyeball experience!!

Are you a serious pool player? So many people play around with pool but very few actually play pool. We had a space hog 4X8 table (not even regulation 4.5X9) in our game room area for years and it was fun but I realized that while I could play at pool I would never be serious enough to play real pool PLUS many people are intimidated by a pool table and only a few can play at a time - so we sold the table and suffered the consequences of having a bunch more room for games that most everyone could enjoy and at the same time.

Tossing the pool table made enough room for a nice bar, big bar chairs, four of the most popular Williams pinball games made, a commercial coin-op foosball and coin-op dart machine. NO ONE misses the pool table and up to 24 people can be playing the various games at the same time - just our personal experience - hope you enjoy your experience just as much!!!
