Greetings to all.

I have recently purchased a Vizio 32" plasma tv and was looking for a neat way to mount the other equipment I have (PS2 and DVD player).

I am turning a spare bed room into a temporary kids hangout room. Spent the day cleaning out this room and purchased the tv and getting ready to order the wall mount (from Monoprice of course) and was looking around and found the Tria system for the couple of components I have.

This will be a temp setup until I get the kids room downstairs done and finished.

If you could take pictures of your set up please post so I could see some real world applications.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about here is the Tria system

This area being a small spare bedroom space is at a premium and thought this might be the perfect solution. Any thoughts, opinions, or ideas would be appreciated.

Regards,

Hey ya i have installed this many times for people, so I will comment.
Its not a bad setup if all you have is a dvd and a cable box. much more than that and the wire mold gets filled up. If you have a ht system with speakers and interconnects going from device to device it does not work well.

You will need heavy duty wall anchors because chances are that there will not be a stud centered directly where you want the shelve. The anchors they give you with the bracket are trash.

You will also have to consider where your power cords come down and plug in. Take this into consideration when you decide on the location or you will have to add an outlet. Remember that part is going to be fully exposed next to the shelve.

Hope that helps.

Hey thanks for the info. You wouldn't happen to have any photos of the install would you? I only have a PS2 and a DVD player to hook up at the moment so the cable management should not be a problem. I would eventually like to have a small HTIB set up but that will have to wait for a little while.

I was looking for a simple yet clean looking setup and I think I have found what I was looking for.

Thanks again for your input.

I bought the Tria then returned it for the Moda and glad i did. The bigger shelves and clean look outweigh the cheaper price of the Tria. The Moda has been supporting my Sony ES3300 receiver of over 36lbs for about a year now with no sagging. I even added some LED stip lights and now the glass shelves have a nice blue glow to them.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I also looked at the Moda and the need for three shelves and the cheaper price of the Tria is what has sealed the deal for me. I really like the clean look of the Moda and if the Moda had come in a three shelf model then I may have gone with it even if it is more expensive.
