I bought my Panasonic CT-34WX50 in 2000. On the front it says it is 1080i compatible. I'm trying to play this game Motorstorm that says it outputs at 720p. On the PS3 settings I set it to output to 720p and 1080i; when I launch the game I get a black screen. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

A display that's that old can probably only handle 1080i, you'll have to play that game at 480p.

In order to do this don't select 720p as a resolution in the PS3's menu.
