pc specs:
XFX GeForce 8200 Motherboard
AMD 64 x2 Dual Core 5000+ 2.6Ghz
Windows Vista 32 bit
this motherboard is suppose to support 1080p HD Video, however i haven't had any success with my Sharp LC46D64U LCD TV. i have all the latest drivers installed including the latest bios from xfx's website. the best i can get is 1280 x 720 through VGA. when i hook up the hdmi cable that I KNOW works cuz it just came from my 360 i get nothing! no video, no audio, no nothing.
i've searched the net high and low and i've yet to find a solution to this problem.
has anyone here had the same problem, and ifso how do i fix it?
thank you!

The Sharp Aquos TV's do not support every resolution through VGA. Your manual lists what resolutions it supports.

wow! thanks for the quick response. but, i didn't think i was going to have to specify that my concern is the no video output through hdmi.
thanks though!

Artmor79,
I was bored so I tried researching this problem.
KeizerSoze took his question to the Motherboard.org (http://www.motherboards.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=109900&sid=295545a2250024536105f5d124ec87fb) forum and was getting some advice.
There is a GeForce 8200 mb thread (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=990188) in the Home Theater Computer area of AVS Forum which may be a more appropriate thread to ask about your problem.

how awesome i got a response i searched thru the net all day yesterday and i finally figured it out there was a jumper that i needed to move from dvi to hdmi once i did that and rebooted my pc it worked and it looks so awesome finally after like a week of downloading drivers and bios in the end all it was was a simple jumper. Thanks for any advice though

Where did u find out about this jumper? Or simply where is it on the motherboard... i really want to connect my LG 1080p 37" TV to my SLI setup using the HDMI port...but i get no signal!

Some have jumpers and some switch in bios, and some are auto. The jumpers I've seen are next to the output. It should be in your manual.

is it worth mentioning that i'm using the XFX 8200 board? There isn't so much of a manual with it sadly. And i'm pretty sure i have set the bios accordingly. I'll look again.

Usually there's mention in the reviews at newegg. Looks like a jumper artmor79 indicates he has the XFX
