Hello All,

After spending hours scouring the different threads on this forum, I've reached a point where I'm saturated with theoretical information, but hopelessly lost on how to apply it.

I’d like to set up a good sound system for my existing home theater. I currently have a 65” Mitsubishi DLP, Dish HD DVR and a PS3 for movies. Please take a look at my crude diagram for a better visualization.

I’m willing to spend about $1000 (give or take) on an AV Receiver, 3 front speakers and a sub. I’ll build up the rest later.

I think I can use floor speakers since I don’t really have any shelves to mount them on. Also, I’d need horizontal center speaker as I only have about a foot or less of space on my TV stand.

Can anyone offer me some suggestions?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

PS – One thing I do have going for me is that my wife is totally on board with building the home theater. =)
