Out of nowhere my 3910 now freezes just after start up and the frozen picture flickers. No sound either. My son claimed he accidently touched another button on the face of the unit but that doesn't sound right?? I am hoping someone here might have encountered this same issue and be able to provide some clues. Hopefully it's not a repair issue. Unit was bought in Dec 06 so not that old.

Thanks for any input you can provide.

1) Do you have iLink, HDMI, or Denon Link connected? These can do odds things upon occasion.

2) Unplug unit from all connections, let sit overnight. Then replug, power up and check.

3) Can you get menu on display?

4) Measure voltage source - check for 120v or close. The units are sensitive to low voltage.

5) Voltage sourced from wall? From outboard filter or protection device?

Hunter, thanks for the reply. I did all those things and now the picture doesn't even come up. It's connected via HDMI and has been for two years without issues. Tried a different HDMI cable and a different HDMI out on my Yamaha 2700. Nothing worked. The only consolation is the audio stills works so I can play my DVD-Audio and SACD discs. I can only assume that the unit needs repair which hardly seems worth it considering how cheap Blu-Ray players are. I paid less than half MSRP for this thing (still a lot of $) and am a little frustrated this has happened.

Did you try other video connections, e.g. component, composite? It might just be the hdmi output.
