Hi - I'm a newbie here and couldn't find this topic in the forum:
I'm currently building an addition to my house. The first floor will be a family room / home theater. I plan to use my Acoustimass system for audio. Before drywall is installed, I'll install speaker wire through the studs. I'd like to locate the speakers between the studs - behind the drywall, and mount speaker grilles over them.
Questions -
1. Will mounting the speakers this way greatly reduce the sound quality? Are they made to *only* be mounted on the Bose brackets?
2. Is metal or cloth the preferred grille method? Metal grilles seem very hard to find - and in either case it looks like this will be a very custom procedure to hide them properly.
Thanks!!
