I recently ordered two new HDMI 1.3a cables, from Monoprice.com
I've connected these cables to my Playstation 3 and to my digital HDTV cable box, and I'm connecting these devices to my new Toshiba 1080p 120hz HDTV. The video seems OK (since these are the first HDMI cables I've tried), but the audio playback is sketchy.
Whenever these cables are attached, I get these "buzzing" sounds during music, and speech. I've played with all the settings that I can see from the menu in my TV, and nothing seems to make it better. This occurs on both the Playstation 3, and for HD cable, using HDMI inputs #1, and #2 respectively.
Previously, I had the HD cable box and Playstation 3 hooked up with red and white RCA cables, and the audio quality seemed fine.
Does this indicate a problem with my TV, or the cables?
Here are the cables I ordered: "High Speed HDMI 1.3a Category 2 Certified Silver-Plated Copper CL2 Rated (For In-Wall Installation) Cable (24AWG) - 6ft (Gold Plated Connectors)"
This is my TV: "Toshiba 52XV54OU"
I would post links, but the site won't let me.
