I have a question about the U-verse DVR functionality, which I'm asking on behalf of a friend.
In the past she's had TWC/Moxi and most recently Charter. She says the Charter DVR sucks big time. One of the main problems with Charter relates to viewing the TV schedule and setting up automatic recordings. You can only see the schedule a week ahead. What's worse, if you set up to record a weekly show, and there comes a week in which that show does not appear on the schedule, the DVR will silently forget you ever asked it to record that show.
So she wants to know if U-verse's DVR is better. One thing that would be great is the ability to search for shows (for example, to search for all shows with a particular actor) whether or not that show is actually occurring during the next week or two.
