I don't know what forum this belongs in...

I have heard somewhere that color TV was invented before black and white TV, but that it was not used originally because it freaked people out. I don't know that I believe the freaked people out part, but was color TV invented first?

I did read somewhere that someone had a patent on a color TV in the 1880's but that it didn't work...

Anyone know?

When was google (or search engines) created? I heard that it's been available for a few years, but people don't use it because it freaks them out. ;)
