Will this work for reverse-splitting Coax Audio and getting it into my receiver assuming only one unit is producing audio at the time? 2 outputs to 1 input. Thanks in advance.

I wanted to get this:

As someone said it would work...

But they weren't available... this is actually for a reverse split...

You're connecting two low impedance outputs in parallel. Not a good idea.

Is there a chance of damage? I used it and it works fine. I simply need to turn off one of the devices using it for it to work...

Is there a chance of damage?Well................... probably not. Just try not to send a signal from both your devices to the receiver simultaneously. And there MAY be a chance that if the receiver were either not on, or its coax input not selected, that the output signal from one device could possibly be shunted into the other devices output.
