So what do you think. Not looking for high end speakers but speakers that give out good surround sound. Also small speakers for an Apartment Living Room.
Yes it is.The Energy Take speakers are very well regarded.Similar to what I have now. An older 602 receiver with the Infinity TSS 750 speakers and I also live in an apartment.

Reviews for the Energy speaker brand is good. I don't have any personal experience with them but if I were looking I would have them on my short list.

Compared to the competitions, yea the Energy is the way to go.
just google the reviews. I don't think it's possible to find a better "mini" 5.1 setup for $500 than the Take Classic.

Both are solid choices and will get the job done with BlueRay and other HiDef sources. Take a peak at the Pioneer 1018 receiver as well. Competitively priced with the Onkyo and a stunning room friendly appearance.

So are these good choices. Need more opinions so i can decide which ones to buy soon. THANKS AGAIN.
If you're looking for small satellite speakers the Take Classic is a very good choice.
I'd opt for the Pioneer 1018 receiver over the Onkyo 606 though.
Can you buy online or do you have to buy local?
Even i would opt for the Pioneer 1018 receiver over the Onkyo 606 .
Energy speakers are a nice choice.
Go with pioneer 1018 and Energy take classic .

I have a chance to get this Energy Take Classic system brand new at my CC for $270. Should I do it? I really wanted to go with some infinity Primus 362's or other nice floorstanders...well all around nice HT stuff but being a college student I just can't blow all my money on this right now. I dont have a reciever, yet, but I figure if this 5.1 setup is better than anything else I can put together for $270 then I might go for it.
Sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread or anything but I didn't wan't to start another thread on the same thing....
YES. that is an awesome price, and you can resell for a profit on ebay if you don't like it (or just return it, CC has a full 30-day return policy)
