I have sirius radio in my car and we'd like to get it for home as well. I was planning to get a conductor but I was wondering if anyone knew if a new version is coming out soon now that XM has merged.

Brad Bishop 12-19-08, 02:32 PM Basically a unit you store behind your home stereo somewhere and then all of the controls of operating the Sirius radio are on the remote along with the display for channels/what is playing. Kind of a neat idea. I'd rather have a nice-looking home tuner or a receiver that is SiriusXM-ready, but at least they're trying something different with it. rob4321 12-22-08, 11:23 AM Yeah it doesn't seem too popular. I can't find it in any retail stores. I have these audioengine speakers http://www.audioengineusa.com/a5_home.php that I'd be using it with. Do you know of a better system to use than the conductor? Hipty 01-06-09, 01:39 PM i also bought the conductor with the radio remote and screen, it is hooked up to my onkyo sr-875 ....but i had to order another one just to locate the digital hookup cable as the unit with the nice radio remote did not supply the digital cable hookup to my onkyo, kind of crazy but i found it was the easy way to go, now i have spare parts and radio remote and digital hookup.... Just to make a bit clearer, the conductor unit with the radio remote did not have the digital cable hookup to my onkyo, but the cheaper bare bones unit WITHOUT the radio remote had the digital cable. weird but it worked out great, now i have two units and two antennas. the folks at VANNS sold me the unit. gave me a great deal on the second unit. My only other option was to return the unit or try to find the digital cable elsewhere, wait weeks and pay for cable and shipping, this way i got it all...and no tax no shipping at VANNS I WANT MORE 01-11-09, 10:45 AM Do you find that the batteries go dead in the remote after about 3 days? |
