hello - i have a sony kv-27xsr trinitron tv manufactured back in may of 1988 & it has been working fine until this week when after awhile when the tv seems to heat up the picture turns almost completely dark & looks like a bad lsd trip with the way the colors are very bright yet dark - if you turn the set off then back on it corrects itself for awhile but then turns dark again - this is only a tv for use in a bedroom & i have another smaller tv that i have put in its place for now - is it worth repairing or would anyone be willing to give me an idea as to what this might be - if it is too old to fix i completely understand & it will hit the trash this week - any info or help would be greatly appreciated - thank you & happy holidays to all - p.s. any web sites w/ a service manual to download for this tv??
