With Panasonic making the panels in the near future for Pioneer, will the 2008 be the best of the best and future products may struggle to fill its shoes? OR will the 2009 version of the Pro 141 be even better and more refined? What are your thoughts? You know you might even find a after Christmas sale on one of the current models which could really be tempting!!!

well pioneers extreme contrast sets are yet to be released. most would guess that will be the 2009's but some have claimed they may hold off on releasing that tech due to the economy. dont ask me why, these people are obviously smarter than i am. on the other hand, reports of the electronics industry still keeping its head above water leads me to believe they will release this tech in 2009. the extreme contrast tech is the only thing i see pioneer being able to put out that is better than the 9g's. then again, they may produce a set very similar to the 9g's with say more features, different sizes, or cheaper manufacturing and sell it for a lower msrp. either way the consumer should end up fine. if pioneer happens to take a step back with panny glass, which i think they wont, you can always get a 141 for cheaper about that time.
