Dark Knight Collector's Edition (the BadPod version). I just watched it tonight and was thoroughly impressed. I think I may have to stop reading the PQ thread so closely because I really don't want to start seeing all the supposed PQ flaws in some of these releases. I had to look for the
aspect ratio changes and I did noticed them but most of the transitions were so well done that it doesn't take anything away.

I've started to avoid looking too deep into that thread for that very reason...I know there is much truth behind alot of the comments, but really, I don't want to get to the point where I am only searching for flaws in the movie and not enjoying it :)

I used to watch things on vhs, then on dvd, and now bluray.
Even with "bad" PQ, most films are far superior to their dvd counterparts. The way I look at it, I win with every increase in tech. I take my happiness and go on my way. Nitpicking everything in life just brings you down.

This sure beats the laserdisc days when I was lucky to get one, maybe two movies under the tree. With BD, you get an exponential upgrade in audio and video quality for a fraction of the price of laser. The good 'ole days really weren't that good when it comes to tech items. Although, there was something special about receiving a special edition laser set or a disc with DTS.

Only Wanted and V for Vendetta. I pretty much buy myself all the BD's I need over the year. But I did get some incredible non-BD presents. What a nice haul this year!

Finally ended my night at BestBuy.com where I blew a $50 gift card on XPW: Cold Night in Hell and The Absolute Best Of The Ghost Hunters. Oh and I also picked up Star Wars: The Clone Wars from a forum member at HDD. :D
