Sanyo has been purchased for a rather large sum of money by Panasonic, who's mainly interested in Sanyo's LiOn battery department. Since both compete on many fronts such as beamers, it's not unlikely Panasonic will start cutting costs asap by removing parts of business that overlap.
Will the current catalog be the last Sanyo beamers ever? Sanyo's been a good thing in the European market, with excellent value for money projectors. Panasonic on the other hand has been reluctant to drop prices. Seems they could take advantage of the new situation and eliminate Sanyo's lineup sooner rather than later.
Any thoughts?
