It's very ironic the Xbox 360 development did get a headstart from the developers of the Cell CPU, the CPU used in the Playstation 3.

The story is amusing but hardly shocking, you know; IBM was contracted to help design the CPU's for all three current-gen consoles.
In fact, for all I know, they probably helped design the V-Tech system and half the chinese 8-bit lookalike knockoffs... :cool:

QFT. I have cube and I feel like I got duped into buying a Wii. Kids love it, though.

Ditto. Easily $1k+ into the Wii with games and accessories, and it barely gets used more than the 'ol Cube.

IBM is like the Godfather in the technology world. They get a piece of everybodies action on some level, behind the scenes.
