Does anybody know why "Barry Lyndon" by Stanley Kubrick hasn't been relased on Blu-Ray yet? Is there any hope that it will be soon?

Is there any hope that it will be soon? No word, but "hope" is really what we need in a transfer of this film. It was very, very soft looking, on purpose.
