Going to give it a try.

I am hoping this turns out good, ive been looking forward to this game and loved star wars battlefront. The comments on that joystiq page dont sound promising.

Is this game similar to anything else, so I can determine whether I want to care or not?

supposively its star wars battlefront meets middle earth.

It plays somewhat like return of the king. there is combos and special moves. probably most impressed with the archer class. gametype plays like battlefront by controlling control points. a little disappointed in the graphics. haven't played multiplayer yet. Still going to be buying this one.
