Its never a good time for your pj to croak but mine just did.

With 1300+ hours on the bulb, funnily enough I was just looking at getting a spare bulb, or upgrading to IN82/83- then suddenly tonught; nothing. No light, no fan. Nada.

I assume this is not therefore blown bulb but a power supply or something.

Anyone experience something similar?

Could be the fuse issue that has affected some units. If you search in the main IN76 thread you'll find more info (just search the thread for the word fuse):

Shouldn't be an expensive repair, but then again it may be fate's way of nudging your itch to upgrade. :D

I did the 2 amp fuse mod last year. Yesterday the 5A250V fuse on the power supply board (right by the cord input) blew. Has anyone had luck replacing this or is the supply bad?

No biggie. Capacitor and couple other minor bits I think- but will find out.

If you really want to miss your pj that you think love (but aren;t sure because there is always something better out there) borrow back your old pj for a while.

I did just that- a 4805. Ouch. Fugly by comparison. Welcome back In76.
(now about that In83 . . .)
