Just wondering what is the proper order to power on my equipment. My remote's default is set to power on dvd, then avr, then tv. Is that correct?

I don't know that there is a proper order. That being said, if your DVD player is an up-converting player and is connected to your TV via HDMI cable, you might want to turn on the TV first to cut down on HDMI Handshake issues.

It really depends on your equipment. Some TVs or receivers won't switch to inputs that aren't getting a signal. HDMI handshake stuff is different for different units, etc.

I always program the TV or Projector to come on first. Then I put in a delay to allow for warm up. Usually 2.5 secs but you will need to test your own application
