I just bought a Denon 988 demo and the sales person at CC said he could not find the 1069 remote but he did find a 1098 remote. They both look the same down to the T but I understand the 1098 was made to go with the Denon 1609 and everthing works in a strange way along with the fact the radio tuner does nothing?

Some remotes are interchangeable but you may find that certain ir codes won't are different from function to function
