When building my basment, I ran Cat 5e wire from the equipment closet to various areas in the basement.

I want to add a USB port at one of the location so I can hook up non wireless PS3 accessories to it.

has anyone done this?

Cables Unlimited makes a Cat5e Extender that should work up to about 150'.
Part number is USB-1370.
