Everytime I play a game or watch something scary my Samsung LED DLP, chooses to brighten the picture up to the point it distorts the colors ruins the experience.

I don't know what this is and I have no idea how to fix it. It's almost as if my TV thinks it needs to do so.

I've never been in the Service menu before so I didn't change anything.

This started in August 2008 and I've been dealing with it since, but now it's so noticeable it's frustrating

Any ideas?
