Hi, my RCA D52W135D won't turn on now. When I plug it in, the green power light will light up sometimes. I also saw it flash 8 times once. I've fixed a few TVs before when I knew what i needed to replace (i can solder pretty well), so i'm hoping someone can give me some insight on what might need to be replaced? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

In this case the flashing on the front panel does not give any cluse to the failure. There's just too many things it can be, I suggest you get a tech out to diagnose. First guess based on past problems with that model is HV Splitter and Deflection Board. Parts are not easy to find on these either...

I have a RCA HD52W59 in the shop now. It had the same symptoms as you describe and it was a High Voltage Capacator. It is going to be $60 to fix, parts and labor.
