Nice to see Carolina with the easiest road to the NFC Champ. Game ever, lol.

Oh and the game better not look anything like the OSU-UT game on FOX.(Eagles game)

i mean... i think Arizona is a good team, but i dont trust Edge and they play horrible in the East coast.

Steelers i think will stop the Chargers but it will be a slugfest

Ravens only because Titans were always a stop from being 9-7

The Giants because the eagles are a great team but this is a well rested Giant team. Plus Jacobs will play the whole game and this game wont be the game after the Plaxico incident.

so one game at a time

I will chime in on this one.

Steelers over the Giants in the SB. Sorry Tenessee fans. I do not see them having quite enough to last 2 straight weeks over the Ravens and the Steelers. That is probably too much to ask of any team. Any team to do that would be awfully beat up for a SB. I am a life long Steeler fan and I am saying this with much respect. --> The playoffs are going to be very good with the teams that are left and I think the AFC has the champ this year by way of the Steelers or ( UGH ) the Ravens. Both could beat the NFC champ this year. That is honestly not chest thumping. Just the way I see this playing out. Looking forward to the weekend.

Cards over the Chargers in the SB. The 2 biggest underdogs have both shown they can step up when they feel like it, they just didn't feel like it much during the regular season. Maybe they'll step up for the next month and show us something good....or so I hope. With only 3 of the last 15 Super Bowls featuring a team west of the Rockies, they're due.

Come on guys....

Regular season means nothing except who gets in. We all know this. If you use logic like who beat who then, I would say that the champ this year should be the Browns. They did demolish the Giants and by the regular season logic, then they should be the best.

At least we have the pleasure of joking with each other about the play-offs. Waiting until the day we can do the same in college football. Play-offs are the only way to decide football.

Watch out for the Cardinals....their D was swarming to shut down Turner, and the Panthers DBs had trouble containing Boldin and Fitz last game. Weather won't hurt Warner, so they will put points up.

The Birds can easily beat the Gmen....anyway you slice it, losing Biggame-Burress is HUGE, and has turned their offense into a "lame duck" (timely pun) especially when Jacobs will surely hurt his vagina again.

LOVE Flacco maintaining his great poise and running an effecient offense, and watching "Drunk Collins" looking exactly like Pennington against that D...."Titans are who we thought they were".

Steelers will rally at home...that's just too tough for Rivers. Gee, can we predict another big time game for SD and LT on the sidelines.

But what do I know.;)

Giants fans don't see the "forrest through the trees" that the rest of the NFL sees....they OVERACHIEVED big time last year, coming out of nowhere to win the SB. He!!, that's how the NFL wants it. They mustered some great games, relied on their LOS play to control the games, but they lack talent at the skills positions, even moreso with Burress out.
Some NFL "experts" are NOT picking the Giants for these reasons...and that tells you something as they have homefield advantage throughout.

Regular season means nothing except who gets in. We all know this.

The Giants proved that last year as they were 0-4 in the regular season against the teams they beat in the playoffs. (They didn't face Tampa in the regular season). So as the saying goes, that's why they play the games.

That being said, I am a Giants fan and expect them to repeat.:D

How about the Birds beat down on the Steelers?

That was an utter beat down.

The Steeler O coordinator is the dumbest most idiotic and at the same time arrogant pompous tool in the NFL. He makes Martz look like an insecure yes man.

The Steeelers, of all teams, have about a 10% success rate on 3rd or 4th down and 1 yard "to go". Absolutely pitiful. They were 12-4 in spite of their O coordinator and O-line coach for that matter. The O coordinator in his previous employment was fired by the Browns. How stupid and lousy do you have to be to be fired by the Browns. They thrive on sub-mediocrity.

I have to stop before I get PO'd just talking about it.

came so close in 2005 to a Pitt/Car SB. Keeping fingers crossed again.

BTW - Playoff victories since 1/29/1996:
Arizona Cardinals: 2
Dallas Cowboys: 0

When Dallas last won a playoff game, Bill Clinton was President, the Big 12 Conference hadn't yet played a game, Gene Kelly, George Burns, Minnie Pearl, Princess Di and JonBenét Ramsey were still alive, Woolworths was a component of the Dow Jones - and Wal-Mart wasn't - and the Dow Jones IA had never reached 5300.

overachieved last year and i guess they didnt do anything this year? lol... yeah ok... The arizona game without burress and jacobs. What was that? Burress didnt play half the games this year. Not to mention, the Giants continued to push the Panthers and beat them at home.

Please dont count the Vikings game in a loss because they barely played with the starters and not to mention, their 3rd stringers almost beat a full vikings team.

I think the Eagles are a great team but remember. This team lost to the Redskins and they kept it close with the one dimensional vikings. I think this game will come down to the 4th quarter though.

Go Giants

Yeah, and I forgot one more thing:

25 other teams in the NFL have since won at least one playoff game. Cowboys, Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Lions and Bengals occupy the bottom 6 spots (or Top 6 in futility). ;)

When the Bengals last won, the DJIA had never hit 3000.

Dang, talk about a NFL east coast bias! everyone dismissing the west...we'll see what happens.

Do you realize how hard it is for a west coast team to come east?
Then add onto that the fact it is a plaoff game.
The chargers and cardinals were aweful on the east coast during the season too.

Panthers and Steelers are locks to move on, the other two games are damn even.
Panthers have the easiest run to the NFC Champ. Game ever, which may play a big role come that day with their opponent being much more worked/tired/beat up.
How lucky did it turn out that losing to the Giants was the best game for them this year for the purposes of trying to win it all....if they had won they'd be #1 seed and playing the Eagles instead of the Cardinals.

Can't argue with that. Last week was perfect - seeds most likely to be able to knock off the #1 seeds won (both #6's), and the easier of the two in the other games (both #4's) advance to play Pitt and Carolina.

The Panthers became a franchise the same year in which Dallas won their last playoff game. The Panthers' second year in the league, they won a playoff game - against Dallas - and have 5 more playoff wins since - including another one against Dallas.

Speaking of Super Bowls, there have been 16 teams (half of the league) in the Super Bowl since Dallas last won a playoff game (including Oakland, 3 NFC South Teams, and 2 other NFC East teams - and 141 playoff victories (average of 4.4 wins per team). For perspective, the Steelers have won 9 playoff games in 7 different years since then, the Patriots have won 17 and the Raiders have won 4.

Despite all that, I'd wager that next year, much like the last 12 - Cowboy fans will claim to be the favorite to "win it all". :D

Damn, so much Cowboy bashing, can I join in?

"That's my teammate, that's my quarterback...."
"It's really not fair"...snif snif...."it's really not fair" :D

As for all the talk about the Giants being overrated, lucky and any of the other non sense I have read about them in this thread, remember one thing, they are still the defending Super Bowl champions that knocked off the only 18-1 team to not win a Super Bowl. They are the number 1 seed in their conference, so until a team beats them in the playoffs, they are the champs.

This game should be close and will probably come down the final few minutes, but remember something about the last time they played the Eagles, yes the Giants got beat down and had a total of 211 yards, but as bad as they played (dropped passes, missed tackles, shankted punts) we were still only an onside kick away from driving for the winning touchdown.

As much as Plaxico means to our team, the man that gets the offense going is Brandon Jacobs, he is healthy, rested and angry so watch how many Eagles he runs over when they try and tackle him. The Giants started having their "slump" when he got hurt. He got hurt in that game and only played the first half, but was still averaging over 5 yards per run before he came out.

Go G-men

Great games this weekend. The final 2 games will be very entertaining and could ( most likely ) be a very big contrast to each other. NFC could be upwards of 70 points and the AFC could be first one to kick a field goal wins. Really worried about my Steelers in this one. Beating Baltimore 3 times in one season and having anyone left to play in a SB is asking a hell of alot. And also a congrats to the Arizona team and their fans. You guys were written off along time ago and look to be right in it now. Good job.
