At times it can feel as if there is no off-season to the PGA Tour, as charity and made-for-TV events fill virtually every weekend in November and December.

But, the 2009 PGA Tour season officially gets underway on Thursday at the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Hawaii, which contains a field of only those players who won a PGA Tour event during the 2008 season.

Here is a list of five players to watch this week in Maui:
K.J. Choi
Davis Love III
Anthony Kim
Ernie Els
Vijay Singh

The best part of the tournament coverage so far was the interview with Boo Weekley.

Yesterday, during the 2nd round, RCN simply blanked out the Golf HD channel here with a temp-off-air message. It's back this morning with same-day tape-delayed 16X9 SD European golf from S.
