I recently installed a new audio system for my PC. I have a Creative X-fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional, hooked up to an Onkyo TX SR 706 via Optical cable. I am using Windows Vista.
I get audio in games and Windows Media Player just fine. I have downloaded and installed the creative drivers for the card, Alchemy drivers, and Dolby Digital connect drivers. I have tried re installing these drivers and the problem still persists.
I don't get any audio in youtube videos, and on some other websites, as an example: G4tv.com I get audio in some videos and not others. Or sometimes a video will start with audio, then the audio will dissapear. Instead of proper sound, I get a "screechy" or "squeaky" type sound that is barely audible when the audio dissapears.
I don't know what is causing this issue, and its driving me crazy. I also have reinstalled adobe flash player and that didn't work either.
