I just brought home the PANASONIC TH-46Z80U from BB and although I'm overall very happy with the set I'm very disappointed with the tuner. With my rooftop antenna and a Zenith DTT 901 decoder box, my old analog tv was able to receive the local PBS station as well as some network stations in HD. The Panny does not bring these stations in at all. It performs as badly as my first box, the RCA DT800 did. When I called Panasonic, they told me their tvs all had the same tuner and that they all needed a strong signal. What does that mean??? My question is this: Does the SAMSUNG PN50A550 have a better tuner? Is it as good as the DTT901 converter box? I'd appreciate any information the members can give me. Thank you. This is my first post.
