I have a new Onkyo tx-sr606. Want a subwoofer to add to some older infinity 6.5 inch bookshelf speakers and a JBL center. My choices are Dayton es10 elite, BIC F12 and the Energy esw-10. Want to keep price around $200. Room is 14 ft by 20 ft. Which do you think is the best for me out of the three. Also, is there anything better out there for the price? What size woofer do you recommend for the room size? Thanks in advance.
Thats a big room for any of those subs. For that price you'll probably have to venture into DIY to get satisfactory performance. For around $230 you can get a dayton 385 15" and a 240watt pe plate amp. They will probably fill your room.
I've recommended that setup a couple of times but I dont want to get in the habit of being a one trick pony. It just seems like a very inexpensive unit with lots of output.
