Hi all,

I just recently finished (hahahahaha, "finished", I know) putting my system together:

Pioneer Elite SC-07
Paradigm 11se fronts
Paradigm 7se sides
Paradigm Atom rears
Paradigm cc450 center
Velodyne CT100 sub (10") crossed over at the receiver @ 80hz

My room is roughly 14'x25'x8'. The room is oddly shaped as there is a wet bar at the back of the room. The room is not sealed (no door) and the entryway is double-wide and opens into a 12'x12' room, which in turn opens into a laundry room and a hallway. Basically, my theater room bleeds into the entire basement - there are no doors. Pics here if it helps: http://titaniumone.mine.nu/images/theater/3.1/

I found a used HSU VTF3 mk2 for sale locally for $400. Would this be a worthwhile upgrade from my CT100? The CT100 is definitely a very powerful sub, and I've been very satisfied with it especially for the $100 price I got it for.

I know the HSU is a great sub based on reviews and this forum, but would it be worth it for me? Or would this be a fairly minor upgrade?

My primary use is HT / movies.

No comparison. The Velo is a nice sub, but in any size room, the HSU VTF3 will have it for lunch! And I'm a Velodyne fan.

The Hsu will kill that sub.

I have the same Hsu sub in a bigger room. It has no problem handling my room size. I am very happy w/the Hsu, as I own it over five years, and don't feel a need to replace it. Get the Hsu sub, I believe that you'll be very happy w/it.

Well, I'm trying to get it, but in the 24 hours since it has been posted someone else offered to take it this weekend. I'll only be able to grab it if that person flakes out. :( Cross your fingers for me

Thanks guys.
