Hello everyone !

I just need a little help on finding the appropriate term for this definition (geeks and professional opinions appreciated !)

the name of a set of digital information (relative to several channels of radio, TV or other services) emitted from a specific frequency

thanx for your suggestions (it's for a report I'm writing) !

channel band or time division multiplexing perhaps?

Are you referring to Multicasting ? This would be transmitting multiple program streams on a single broadcast channel.

Note that TV transmission is not done at a single frequency, but a range (6Mhz) centering or beginning at a specific frequency.

Previous poster is correct. That would be multicasting.

yes !
multicasting sounds right

isn't there a more specific word for it though ?
it has to do with a continuous flow of data

ok let me post a little reminder of the definition of the word I'm looking for :

• a set of digital information (relative to several channels of radio, TV or other services) emitted from a specific frequency

• it has to be more specific than a multicast and has to do with a continuous flow of data

• if we're talking of TV channels, you'll need a set top box (or a television with an intergrated digital system) to view them

any clue ? I just can't find what it's called damn it !!
thanx :)
