Pull it out and look for any burnt parts and or sniff around it to see if that was it. You may have had a High voltage arc that took out the HDM. Check the front of the PJ also for any LED's on the LVPS(where the plug goes). Also if it was an HV arc you need to inspect all the HV wires for cracks, and the HV splitter. Athanasios 1031 01-22-09, 02:08 AM I just had similar case on my m8000 that iīm using as "testbench". Your projector had probably HV-arc to deflectioncoil at one off tubes. On mine it killed one vertical ic + fusible resistors at VDM, and there were H-Fail led on then.I repaired those and still no go, then i located that there were problems also at HDM and that one was really hard to troubleshoot. So if you are not familiar with repair stuff, i suggest that you send boardīs to expert (Curt..or some else) And also that HV-leak is something that you must take before testing/putting working boardīs back in projector. Curt Palme 01-22-09, 10:49 AM Most likely you have a bad HV lead on one of the tubes, which then took out the H board. Pretty common on Marquees. Pretty easy to fix as well, but you need to take the arcing tube out. You need to get the H board repaired, carefully power the set up, see where the arc is coming from, yank the plug out quickly, then change the HV lead on the tube that's arcing, and possibly get the H board re-repaired if you nuke it again. I can take care of the repairs for you if you want. |
