Hey everyone - I'm finally in the process of finishing my setup. About 5 years ago I started but after buying 2 speaker a nice girl came into my life and priorities changed. Now 5 years later we are happily married and I'm attempting to finish out my setup before the kids topic comes up

Anyhow, currently I have:
2 - Infinity Alpha 50 for the front
Pioneer VSX-43tx for a receiver

As you can see I didn't get far.

The problem I'm having is it is pretty much impossible to find matching Infinity Alpha speakers for the Center channel and surround speakers these days.

Do you think it would be better to start over from scratch and get speakers of the same type for at least the fronts (left, center, right) or do you think I could piece together some new speakers for a center channel and surrounds? I'm not too worried about getting different make speakers for the surrounds, but I've heard that it can sound funny if the center channel is a different make from the towers.

It would suck having to get rid of the alpha 50s as they have been such good speakers in my 2.0 setup for so long. I feel like I owe it to them to get a few mates for them to play with :)

Any input on what speakers, if any, may work with the Alphas would be greatly appreciated.

I hate to bump but I could really use some advice. Anybody out there using the Alpha 50s with different center and surround speakers?

Thanks
