It wouldn't be a crime to put it there, but you better check the weight of it first, and you would have to tilt it downwards quite a bit towards the listening area. Better at ear level, and pulled to the front edge of the shelf that it sits on.

People may way to big a deal about the height of speakers. The ear is very insensitive to the vertical location. In many professional studio and monitoring installations, the speakers are mounted at the ceiling line and tilted towards the listening position. What you normally don't want is reflection off the ceiling although, with the YSP series that may not be a bad thing. Run the YPAO setup and see how it sounds!

I don't know if spkrs mounted high above the TV can produce a front sound-stage, especially when trying to watch a movie or concert. When I see pictures of spkrs mounted high up at the ceiling line in studios, it looks to me like it was done out of necessity to leave room for people to move around.

I don't know if spkrs mounted high above the TV can produce a front sound-stage, especially when trying to watch a movie or concert. Now retired from 40+ years in broadcast & recording, I have my L/C/R speakers (studio monitors) mounted at the ceiling line above my 92" Stewart screen and there is no issue whatsoever with sound stage imaging.
