Hi everyone,
I have the opportunity to purchase an Eiki 1600T projector at a very reasonable price and I was wondering if I could get some opinions about the unit.
Here's what I know:
1280 x 768 resolution
6500:1 contrast ratio
1200 ANSI Lumens
5X Speed, 6 Segment Colour Wheel
DLP DC2+ or DC3
This model is a rebadge of the Sharp XV-Z3000 and the Marantz VP4001. I believe this model uses Sharp optics.
My room length and width is more than accommodating for this projector and it has decent light control.
To be honest, what I really want is an Epson 6500UB but that is way out of my price range for now and at less than $900 the possibility of having this projector is very tempting.
If any of you have this projector, the similar Marantz or Sharp projectors, have seen any of them in action or have any practical suggestions for a new potential owner of this projector, please put in your 2 cents. I am very excited about owning my first projector and your assurance/alternatives would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Nick
